Phylini - A great new drink invention served in a Martini glass!
While visiting Tucson last week my good friend Phyllis Woods shared her fabulous new
drink creation, inspired by the traditional martini. Served in a martini glass with the same
ingredients as a martini but in vastly different proportions, this drink is a delightful
surprise, its taste is rich and earthy, full bodied and not overly strong. But of course, for diehard
martini lovers, it may not hit the mark. But we all loved it! Thanks Phyllis!

Use a traditional martini shaker - start with a few ice cubes in the shaker.
Chill the glasses with a few ice cubes and water
Blue Sapphire Gin (or your preference) 1/2 shot per person
Add to Shaker
Dry Vermooth - fill the shaker almost to the top
1 teaspoon olive juice per person - add to shaker
Shake well. Put two large pimento stuffed olives into each glass
Pour in the Philini, garnish with a lemon peel and enjoy!
The preferred vermouth is Martini dry. And there should be a generous squeeze of lemon juice. Everything else is just right. Phyl
